## D004: Case-study framework: Problem → Decision → Outcome

**Context:** Featured work must prove *product thinking*, not just output. Saif has the projects; metrics will be filled in by him.

**Decision:** Every featured project ([ueue, Prism, salutebutton, Zazz](/brain/about-saif/)) uses **Problem → Decision (calls + trade-offs) → Outcome (metrics)** + role, stack, links. Structure now, metrics later (chosen by Saif).

**Why:** Reframes "I built X" into "I made good calls that paid off." Metrics make it undeniable. Directly serves [D001 - Site as Proof Principle](/brain/d001-site-as-proof-principle/).

Applied across the two-track layout in [D012 - Work Section Structure](/brain/d012-work-section-structure/); full list in [Projects](/brain/projects/).

**Trade-offs:** depends on Saif supplying real numbers; placeholders clearly marked until then. Open item tracked in [Open Questions](/brain/open-questions/) (#9 metrics).
